Updated for 2005-2006

1. Mailing Labels
The ISES South Florida-Caribbean membership list is available complimentary to all current ISES members. The complete membership list is available to all non-members at a cost of $125. A complete set of the ISES South Florida-Caribbean mailing labels is available for one-time use to members at a cost of $125 and to non-members at a cost of $300.

2. Cancellation Policy/No Show Policy
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. No shows will be billed which includes non-members. If a member has an outstanding balance, he/she will be asked to pay that balance before attending another meeting.

3. Meeting Rates
Meeting rates will be proposed at the beginning of each year by the VP of Programs and the programming committee.

4. Meeting Fee
* The ISES membership is NOT owned by the company. It is owned by the individual.
* If the membership holder is unable to attend, they cannot send someone in their place for their member fee. The attendee must pay the non-member rate.
* If a member has RSVPd and is unable to attend a meeting, they may send someone in their place and not be charged for a “no-show.” However, the attendee pays the non-member rate, if they are not a member.

5. Grievance Policy
Members are committed to the Principals of Professional Conduct and Ethics, as described by ISES International. However, our chapter has no formal grievance policy or procedure. This is a very gray area and communications between both parties is encouraged. We will encourage both parties to try to work out the disagreement amicably on their own.

6. Member Rights
Members have the right to a list of membership at any time. Mailing labels are available to members at a cost outlined above. We follow an open-door policy and all members are invited to attend a board meeting at any time.

7. Communications
All communications to the complete mailing list MUST be routed through the VP of Communications and distributed through our standard distribution format.

» Involvement

In order to get the most value out of your membership, it is important to become involved in the day-to-day activities of the chapter. As they say, you will get out of your membership what you put into it, so be sure to take full advantage of your investment!

We understand that everyone’s ability to participate will be different and we are working hard to find different opportunities for all different levels of time commitments. Take the opportunities that are available to get involved, even if you can only commit a small amount of time! Here are a few of the opportunities for you to become more involved in the ISES South Florida-Caribbean Chapter:

* Board of Directors
* Committee Chairperson or Committee Member
* Student Volunteer Involvement
* Miscellaneous

Committee Chairperson or Committee Member:
Many of our board duties are quite extensive and often require the help of additional committee members. Do you have an interest in helping develop some of our monthly programs? Or, would you like to write articles for the monthly newsletter? We need help on a variety of our committees including:

* Communications:
The goals and objectives of the communications committee are to develop a cohesive branded message in tandem with ISES International Headquarters by disseminating information locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. These goals and objectives are accomplished through the utilization of tools such as the ISES South Florida-Caribbean Web site, newsletter, e-mail and various other media outlets. The committee is also charged with reaching as many current and prospective industry members with informative and timely information and news with regard to the Chapter and the special events industry.
To join this committee or for more information, contact Geno Conte at 954-707-2487

* Membership:
Help recruit, retain and re-engage current and new individual members and corporate supporting organizations to the chapter. The committee also works to increase overall membership, member diversity and monthly meeting attendance and participation through various programs and activities.
To join this committee or for more information, contact Jeralin Felipe at 954-636-2511

* Programs:
Plan monthly meetings by scouting venues and partnering with suppliers and sponsors. Work to develop programs that contain educational and networking opportunities for ISES South Florida-Caribbean members.
To join this committee or for more information, contact Lani Levine at 305-978-5278

* Nominating Committee:
Develop the slate of members who will be up for election to the board of directors each year. Duties include contacting potential board members, distributing nomination information and slates, counting votes and contacting elected board members.
To join this committee or for more information, contact Mark Grassini at 954-895-7536
